Curragh Stone has finished a driveway and patio project for a happy client in Dublin. The existing driveway was made up of a concrete driveway that had got very worn down as time has progressed. The side of the house and rear of the house had a concrete path running around it with some slabbing to the rear patio doors. The driveway had lawn on both sides. We removed the right lawn completely and cut back the lawn on the left side to widen out the driveway. There was shrubbery to the entrance of the driveway which we also removed.
Once the area was stripped back and a new base installed, we inserted our paving border around it using a Kilsaran paving block. To the front of the driveway we installed a slightly larger paving area to give the drive a unique and lovely look to it. At the entrance to the house, we installed some more paving again using Kilsaran style paving. Once the paving was completed we installed our tarmac again making sure that the tarmac finished flush with the new paving. Around the side of the house we ran the tarmac with a paving border. To the rear of the house we installed paving blocks which we had slightly increased in size to allow for a curved exterior line to the house.
